Falaq privacy policy
Falaq is a free app for the Quran, prayer times and azkar. It has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics. Falaq does not ask who you are and keeps no profile of you.
What stays on your phone
Your bookmarks, notes, reading places, azkar progress, favourites, tasbeeh counts, reminders, your location and calculation settings, and the recitations and translations you download all stay on your phone. The home-screen widgets read them from the phone too. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
A backup is a file that you save or share yourself. Falaq does not upload it anywhere.
What leaves your phone, and why
Falaq only sends something when a feature needs it, and only what that feature needs.
- Naming your place. To show the name of your city, your coordinates go to the map service built into your phone (Apple on iPhone, Google on Android). When you search for a city by name, the name you type goes to that service, and to OpenStreetMap Nominatim if it finds nothing.
- Nearby mosques. When you open Mosques, an approximate position, rounded to about one kilometre, is sent to Falaq's server to find mosques near you. Your exact position stays on the phone, which works out the distances itself. The mosque data comes from OpenStreetMap.
- Quran content. Extra translations, tafsirs and recitations are downloaded when you ask for them, from AlQuran Cloud, the Islamic Network CDN and QuranEnc (quranenc.com).
- Azkar audio. When you listen to azkar, the recordings stream from the sites that publish them: hisnmuslim.com, binwahaf.com and the Islamic Network CDN.
- Makkah and Madinah live. The live screen plays the official Saudi channels in YouTube's embedded player, run by Google. YouTube's terms and Google's privacy policy apply to what you watch there. Falaq uses YouTube API Services for this.
- Notices, settings and updates. The app asks Falaq's server for the current notices on Home, for a few app settings, and whether a newer version exists. It sends your platform (iPhone or Android), the app version and your app language. Pictures in a notice may load from public image hosts such as Unsplash or Wikimedia Commons.
- Feedback. If you send a suggestion or a correction from the app, the text you write is stored on Falaq's server with the language, the screen it was about, the app version and the platform. Nothing that identifies you is attached. If you choose to send it by email instead, it goes from your own email app.
- Crash reports. If the app crashes, a report is sent through Sentry: the app version, the device model and system version, what the code was doing, and a random identifier for the installation so repeated crashes can be grouped. It does not include your name, your location, your bookmarks or what was on the screen. You can turn crash reports off in More, Privacy.
Every request to a server includes your IP address, as all internet traffic does. Falaq's own server keeps it only in short-lived logs.
Microphone and photos
- Microphone. The Recite screen records you only while you hold the button, so you can hear yourself against the reciter. The recording stays on the phone, is never uploaded, and is deleted when you leave the screen.
- Photos. If you share an ayah as a picture and choose to save it, Falaq asks to add that one picture to your photos. It never reads your photo library.
Notifications
Prayer alerts, azkar and dhikr reminders are scheduled on your phone. No server learns your prayer times, and Falaq does not use a push service.
What Falaq never does
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics and no tracking across apps or websites.
- No selling or sharing of data.
- No access to your contacts or calendar.
Children
Falaq is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Your choices
- You can deny or withdraw location permission at any time and choose your city by name instead.
- You can turn alerts off for each prayer, and reminders off in one place.
- You can turn crash reports off.
- You can delete the app to remove everything stored on the phone.
- To have a crash report or a feedback message deleted from the server, email the address below.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes. Significant changes are also mentioned in the app's release notes.

سياسة الخصوصية لتطبيق الفلق
الفلق تطبيق مجاني للقرآن ومواقيت الصلاة والأذكار. بلا حسابات وبلا إعلانات وبلا تحليلات. لا يسأل الفلق من أنت ولا يحتفظ بأي ملف عنك.
ما يبقى على هاتفك
تبقى على هاتفك علاماتك وملاحظاتك ومواضع قراءتك وتقدّمك في الأذكار والمفضلة وعدّادات التسبيح والتذكيرات وإعدادات الموقع والحساب، وكذلك التلاوات والترجمات التي تنزّلها. وتقرأ الأدوات على الشاشة الرئيسية هذه البيانات من الهاتف أيضًا. حذف التطبيق يحذفها كلها.
النسخة الاحتياطية ملف تحفظه أو تشاركه بنفسك، ولا يرفعها الفلق إلى أي مكان.
ما يغادر هاتفك ولماذا
لا يرسل الفلق شيئًا إلا حين تحتاج إليه ميزة ما، ولا يرسل إلا ما تحتاج إليه تلك الميزة.
- تسمية مكانك. لعرض اسم مدينتك تُرسل إحداثياتك إلى خدمة الخرائط المدمجة في هاتفك (Apple في iPhone و Google في أندرويد). وعند البحث عن مدينة بالاسم يُرسل الاسم الذي تكتبه إلى تلك الخدمة، وإلى OpenStreetMap Nominatim إن لم تجد شيئًا.
- المساجد القريبة. عند فتح صفحة المساجد يُرسل موقع تقريبي، مقرّب إلى نحو كيلومتر واحد، إلى خادم الفلق للعثور على المساجد القريبة منك. ويبقى موقعك الدقيق على الهاتف، وهو الذي يحسب المسافات بنفسه. وبيانات المساجد مصدرها OpenStreetMap.
- محتوى القرآن. تُنزّل الترجمات والتفاسير والتلاوات الإضافية عند طلبك لها من AlQuran Cloud وشبكة Islamic Network و QuranEnc (quranenc.com).
- صوت الأذكار. عند الاستماع إلى الأذكار تُبث التسجيلات من المواقع التي تنشرها: hisnmuslim.com و binwahaf.com وشبكة Islamic Network.
- البث المباشر من مكة والمدينة. تعرض شاشة البث القنوات السعودية الرسمية داخل مشغّل YouTube المدمج الذي تديره Google. وتسري شروط YouTube وسياسة خصوصية Google على ما تشاهده هناك. ويستخدم الفلق خدمات YouTube API لهذا الغرض.
- الإشعارات والإعدادات والتحديثات. يطلب التطبيق من خادم الفلق الإشعارات الحالية في الصفحة الرئيسية وبعض إعدادات التطبيق، ويسأل إن كان هناك إصدار أحدث. ويرسل في ذلك المنصة (iPhone أو أندرويد) وإصدار التطبيق ولغته. وقد تُحمّل صور الإشعارات من مواقع صور عامة مثل Unsplash أو Wikimedia Commons.
- الملاحظات. إذا أرسلت اقتراحًا أو تصحيحًا من التطبيق، يُحفظ ما كتبته على خادم الفلق مع اللغة والشاشة المعنية وإصدار التطبيق والمنصة، ولا يُرفق به ما يدل على هويتك. وإذا اخترت إرساله بالبريد فإنه يُرسل من تطبيق البريد الخاص بك.
- تقارير الأعطال. إذا تعطّل التطبيق يُرسل تقرير عبر Sentry يتضمن إصدار التطبيق وطراز الجهاز وإصدار النظام وما كان الكود ينفّذه، ومعرّفًا عشوائيًا للتثبيت يتيح جمع الأعطال المتكررة معًا. ولا يتضمن اسمك ولا موقعك ولا علاماتك ولا ما كان على الشاشة. ويمكنك إيقاف تقارير الأعطال من «المزيد» ثم «الخصوصية».
يتضمن كل طلب إلى أي خادم عنوان IP الخاص بك، كما هو حال كل اتصال بالإنترنت. ولا يحتفظ به خادم الفلق إلا في سجلات قصيرة الأمد.
الميكروفون والصور
- الميكروفون. لا تسجّل شاشة التسميع صوتك إلا أثناء ضغطك على الزر، لتسمع نفسك مقارنة بالقارئ. ويبقى التسجيل على الهاتف ولا يُرفع أبدًا، ويُحذف عند مغادرتك الشاشة.
- الصور. إذا شاركت آية على هيئة صورة واخترت حفظها، يطلب الفلق إضافة تلك الصورة وحدها إلى صورك. ولا يقرأ مكتبة صورك أبدًا.
التنبيهات
تُجدول تنبيهات الصلاة وتذكيرات الأذكار والذكر على هاتفك. لا يعرف أي خادم مواقيت صلاتك، ولا يستخدم الفلق خدمة إشعارات خارجية.
ما لا يفعله الفلق أبدًا
- لا إعلانات ولا معرّفات إعلانية.
- لا تحليلات ولا تتبّع عبر التطبيقات والمواقع.
- لا بيع للبيانات ولا مشاركة لها.
- لا وصول إلى جهات الاتصال أو التقويم.
الأطفال
الفلق مناسب لكل الأعمار، ولا يجمع عن علم معلومات شخصية من أحد.
خياراتك
- يمكنك رفض إذن الموقع أو سحبه في أي وقت واختيار مدينتك بالاسم بدلًا منه.
- يمكنك إيقاف التنبيهات لكل صلاة، وإيقاف التذكيرات من مكان واحد.
- يمكنك إيقاف تقارير الأعطال.
- يمكنك حذف التطبيق لإزالة كل ما خُزّن على الهاتف.
- لحذف تقرير عطل أو رسالة ملاحظات من الخادم، راسل العنوان أدناه.
التغييرات
إذا تغيّرت هذه السياسة تغيّر التاريخ في أعلاها، ويُذكر التغيير المهم أيضًا في ملاحظات إصدار التطبيق.
